Programme
Throughout the session, participants are introduced to basic nautical terminology and learn the main points of sail: close-hauled, beam reach and running downwind.
You will also practise essential sailing knots on board (bowline, figure-eight, clove hitch, reef knot) and participate in key manoeuvres such as tacking and gybing.
Participants may join an ongoing sailing lesson alongside other students or alternatively book specific days dedicated exclusively to this programme.

Requirements
No previous experience required;Ability to swim;
Basic physical mobility;
Minimum age 14; minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Locations
Oeiras Marina offers direct access to an excellent sailing area with clean waters and consistent wind conditions. The marina provides high-quality facilities including restaurants, shops, showers, security and parking.
Nearby you will find several beaches, a sea-water swimming pool and a coastal promenade.
The marina’s location at the entrance of the Tagus River allows sailing either offshore in open water or inside the sheltered river area.
Its proximity to Cascais and Belém, as well as easy access towards destinations such as Sesimbra, makes it a strategic starting point for sailing.
