Requirements
You must already hold the Local Skipper Licence and be at least 18 years old.

Registration Form;
1 Updated passport-style photograph (digitalised);
If you are not a Portuguese national: proof of residence;
Copy of the Local Skipper Licence (must be valid);
Education Certificate (digitalised);
Medical Certificate for nautical sports.
To enrol, we only require the registration form and a photograph. All remaining documents must be submitted at least 1 week before the exam.
Duration
Total duration: 65 hours (50 theory + 15 practical) over 7 weeks.
Theoretical classes – Weekdays, after work, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 19:30 to 23:30.
Practical classes – Saturdays or Sundays, morning or afternoon.
Exam – Saturdays or Sundays at 09:00.
Boat
The practical sessions include 2 full days sailing on a 10–12m cruising yacht.
Depending on weather conditions, time of year and student profile, these sessions may be run on consecutive days, including 1 night onboard and a coastal passage.
Locations
West Coast offers two privileged locations for your Recreational Navigation course: Oeiras Marina and Parque das Nações Marina. All our locations are waterfront, ensuring easy access for practical lessons.
