Sailing Training

O esqu ema de vela da RYA oferece um caminho de progressão claro e estruturado, adaptado a todos os níveis de experiência. Os cursos práticos "Cruising Courses Afloat" de 2 a 5 dias incluem a possibilidade de dormir a bordo e navegação nocturna.

You can also complement your training with the theoretical "Navigation Courses Ashore," available in person or remotely, covering topics such as electronic and chart navigation, collision avoidance rules, meteorology, safety, tides, seamanship, and voyage planning, among others.

With internationally recognised RYA certification, you will be better prepared to sail safely and make the most of your time at sea, whether for leisure or as a step towards a professional career in boating.

Powerboat Training

It is aimed at anyone who wants to learn to operate small motorboats or open boats, such as rigid inflatable boats. Although these vessels are not designed for long crossings, they provide an excellent platform for developing essential skills in manoeuvring, safety, and motor navigation.

The scheme includes a combination of practical and theoretical courses. We are currently certified to deliver and certify all theoretical courses online or in person, as well as practical Powerboat Level 1 and 2 courses on our Ribcraft 6.4 Pro with a Suzuki 175hp engine, with a maximum of 3 students and 1 instructor on board.

We recommend starting with Powerboat Level 2, a 2-day course on board that is fun and focused on practical skills.

Theoretical Training

The theoretical courses are delivered in person (classroom) or online (distance learning), with the same quality and educational standards.

Although they are “theoretical,” they stand out for their strong practical component, with exercises adapted to current realities and a focus on electronics, making learning more effective and engaging.

These courses complement and support the practical levels of the Sailing and Powerboat schemes with theory. They are essential and mandatory prerequisites for progression for those seeking internationally recognised certifications such as RYA Day Skipper, RYA Coastal Skipper, or RYA Yachtmaster Coastal, Offshore, and Ocean.

Cursos de Especialização

RYA specialist courses are delivered in person and/or online, with a strong focus on practical application and the use of simulators. They can be taken at any point in your training journey and typically last one day.

They are training courses that complement the practical levels and prepare you for safer and more effective navigation.
