Requirements
This is a beginner-level course, so no prerequisites are required.
The minimum age to attend a RYA course at West Caost is 14 years old. All underaged must be accompanied on boar by and adult attending and enrolled in the same course Contact us for more information.
To obtain certification, 5 days of sailing are required. This can be completed in 5 consecutive days (Monday to Friday) or across 2 weekends (e.g., one full weekend and one extended weekend of 3 days from Friday to Sunday).
If you have completed the "Start Yachting" level, this course can be completed with an additional 3 days of sailing.
Duration
Two options are available:
5 consecutive days, Monday to Friday
"Split Weekend" across 2 consecutive weekends (1st weekend Saturday+Sunday and 2nd weekend a 3-day extended weekend from Friday to Sunday)
If you have previously completed "Start Yachting," you can reach the Competent Crew level with 3 additional sailing days.

Oeiras Marina provides quick access to high-quality waters, with modern facilities to support sailing, including restaurants, shops, changing rooms, security, and parking.
Its location at the entrance of the Tagus River allows sailing in open waters with clear seas or more sheltered waters of the Tagus.
Proximity to Cascais and Belém, as well as easy access to destinations like Sesimbra, is an additional advantage.
